Who are Prospero?
A community-based creative health and inclusion organisation using participatory arts, mindfulness and peer-led practice to reduce isolation, improve wellbeing and create social change for disabled and neurodiverse adults.

Our Impact
Leah and Lucy
Initially reluctant to speak and wanting to remain together in every activity, they developed into highly independent participants. They now volunteer for tasks, arrive early to help set up, cover lines for others, and have joined committees and forum groups.
Nigel
A profoundly autistic member who wrote ‘The Return of Jafar’ during lockdown. Through the production process he coped with significant changes, became involved in set and costume work, supported others with lines, and inspired peers to begin writing their own plays.
Alysha
An Orpheus Centre student transitioning into Prospero. Initially dependent on carrying a large Mickey Mouse toy, she was supported through creative solutions and successfully integrated into productions and activities.
Carol
After Prospero won the Caterham Carnival procession, Carol asked for a photograph with the Mayor because it was the first time she had ever won anything, illustrating the impact of recognition and achievement.

We currently have volunteering opportunities at Friday Club and several of our social events. Full training is given.

Support Prospero with Easy Fundraising
Easy Fundraising allows you to support your favourite charity when you shop online, at no extra cost to you. Unlike many kinds of fundraising it does not cost you time or money.
